As much fun as it is to ride a mudslide into the forest, this family wasn't keen on doing it every time they went into their backyard.
They were graced with a large lot but cursed with a steep mud slope running away from the house.
The objective was to create place where Calving & Hobbes could race into adventure, spend the day retreating in a hammock and daydreams or hosting large gatherings.
Completing the scene of tranquility and elegance are raised planters, cobblestone courtyard, pergola's and night-lighting.
The yard is tiered with Rundle Boulders and sunken patios accented Pergolas, night-lighting, various plantings and a tall modern water feature and even a putting green for those times of quiet contemplation.
It's a perfect balance of being able to get away from it all while being surrounded by it all.
