A pondless waterfall, sometimes called a disappearing waterfall, is exactly what it sounds like – a waterfall without a pond at the bottom. The basin from which water is collected and deposited is underneath the base of the waterfall, often covered by rocks to achieve the pleasing “disappearing” illusion.
Pondless waterfalls would be perfect for you if you have a busy lifestyle, or if you travel frequently and are not able to regularly check on your landscaping to see if it needs any maintenance. This water features is particularly popular for families with small children who are worried about having a pond or open body of water in their backyard. One of the most attractive things about this type of water feature is that there is no open, stagnant water which reduces the problem of those pesky mosquitoes.
