Ron Jones was recently quoted in a Calgary Herald article on the importance of planning your landscaping in advance

February 17, 2012 (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) – President of Ananda Landscapes Ron Jones is proud to announce that Ananda Landscapes was recently featured in a Calgary Herald news article on the importance of planning in advance for spring landscaping projects.

Jones was contacted as an expert in the field of custom landscaping in Calgary for his opinion on why planning a landscaping project needs to start as early as possible.

“I was glad to offer my expertise to the Calgary Herald” said Jones. “I think it is great that this article educates readers on the importance of leaving yourself ample time to plan your custom landscaping project. Water features, outdoor kitchens, outdoor living rooms – these are all landscaping features that take time and care in order to plan and implement.”

Ananda Landscapes has already had many bookings for Spring/Summer 2012 and many include such complex features as swim spas, fountains, canopy beds, full outdoor kitchens and outdoor eating areas.

Ron Jones Speaks in Workshop at the Calgary Horticultural Society
Ananda Landscapes Founder discusses the concept of harvesting rainwater for Calgary gardening

Calgary, Alberta (August 15th, 2011) - It was announced today that Ron Jones, President of Ananda Landscapes will be presenting at a workshop planned with the Calgary Horticultural Society. The workshop will be taking place on September 17th between 9:30am and 12:00pm.

“At this workshop we’ll be teaching attendees the practical steps to establish rainwater harvesting by utilizing the water runoff from the home” explains Jones. The workshop will explore and explain the effects of city water on your garden. “We’ll help Calgarians understand how to collect and hold any amount of water and teach them how to keep it fresh and alive for irrigation or a decorative water feature.”

Jones speaks at multiple events throughout the gardening season. His expertise and beautifully developed landscaping projects are proof of his professional understanding of gardening. The location of the event will be announced within the next two weeks.

Ananda Landscapes Welcomes Back Colin Willis
Colin Willis returns to the Ananda Landscapes crew for his second seaons, working under Senior Foreman David Percy

July 18, 2011 (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) - Ron Jones, President of Ananda Landscapes, announced today that the company is happy to welcome Colin Willis, who will be working underneath Senior Foreman David Percy, back for his second season.

 

Though still only a young man, Colin already has six years of landscaping experience under his belt. He is currently heading into his second year of the Environmental Horticultural Diploma program at Olds College, with a major in Landscape Management; the curriculum of this particular program combines a sound knowledge of horticulture along with technical skills. An area of particular interest for Willis has been expanding his understanding of over 100 ornamental plants and trees that are native to Southern Alberta.

 

Willis is excited to bring this newfound knowledge and his growing skill set back to Ananda. “I enjoy landscaping because I am able to create amazing spaces and legacies,” says Willis. “I am excited to be back working for Ron and Ananda because it is a workplace where creativity and fun are encouraged.”

 

Jones appreciates Willis’ understanding of the creative side of the landscaping business. “Colin is a focused young man who understands and enjoys the work that Ananda does – creating possibilities for our clients.” Jones originally wanted Willis on a different team but as soon as Senior Foreman David Percy learned that he was coming back he insisted that Willis join his team.

 

"I wanted to train him further because I see so much potential in this young man," said Percy. "He is the perfect right-hand man."

David Percy returns to Ananda Landscapes to help the company coordinate crew members' efforts to ensure a project's entire grounds are properly maintained

May 13, 2011 (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) - Ron Jones, President of Ananda Landscapes, announced today that the company is excited to welcome back David Percy who is returning for his second season as Ananda's senior foreman.

With more than 20 years of experience working in the construction industry, and serving as a foreman and supervisor for over half of his career life, Percy is high skilled in multiple trades and with extended experience as a team leader and overseeing crews who work in grounds maintenance and landscape design or contracting.

"I am extremely thrilled to be back with Ananda for the 2011 season," said Percy. "I look forward to strengthening my partnership with the found and visionary of Ananda Landscapes, Ron Jones, while assisting his company in creating the ultimate outdoor living spaces for Calgary homeowners."

Both Percy and Jones are eager in being able to continue to work together towards their commitment in creating amazing and inspirational spaces.

"David brings forth a space to empower our crews, excitement for a new season, passion for his creations and the crew's, as well as a drive to go beyond possibilities," said Jones.

Bringing fun, play, creativity and commitment to work each day, and sharing these parts in every moment of every day, Ananda Landscapes introduces to you three ladies whom enjoy these attributes as our 2011 season starts to take form and leaps into action.

Theresa Marshall. Assuming the role as Ananda Landscapes’ Office Manager, and with excitement for our new season, Theresa shares the amazing possibilities and creations that are able to flow to any outdoor living space with Ananda’s clients. Bringing an impeccable communication skill-set to the office, Theresa maintains a clear focus on all of Ananda’s staff, processes, deadlines and customer service to ensure overall satisfaction. She also holds a complete thoroughness of tracking the costing of Ananda’s various landscape projects and ensures all projects are priced within actual costs of fulfillment.

Jessica Dubiel. Born and raised in Germany, Jessica has obtained a Bachelor Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University Bernburg in Sachsen-Anhalt. Inspired by Ananda’s goal to create enjoyable outdoor living rooms for our clients, Jessica’s strength is in tailoring consistent and high quality concept and master designs for Ananda’s clientele. She creates and develops multi-functional outdoor spaces for families to enjoy, while handling cost estimates and assisting in project and team management. Jessica is returning for her second season at Ananda Landscapes, and is inspired and excited to share wholeheartedly her joy and passion with our clients and her creations for them.

Priscilla Fulmes. Also returning for her second season at Ananda Landscapes, Priscilla is a highly motivated individual who openly shares her passion for landscape architecture. Completing a Bachelor of Environmental Design, Landscape Architecture from the University of Manitoba, Priscilla’s experience and knowledge in landscape architecture allows her to listen to Ananda’s clients’ requests and successfully design beautiful outdoor retreats which engage the clients. As a Junior Landscape Architect Priscilla is involved in both the conceptual and master planning stages of Ananda’s projects and is responsible for developing detailed plans and illustrations, while presenting design work to our clients.

Creating your retreat and oasis is an easy way to escape into your own backyard and energize your being. The Ananda team is ready to play with you and your yard!
