Old-fashioned decks were usually well above ground and surrounded by a high fence. Because of this they isolated the user from the rest of
the garden. Ron always tries to blend the deck intro the landscape so that it provides a transition from indoor to outdoor space. The result is a space that is far more useful - and gets a lot more use!
